1. About Greyspace Therapy

 

Greyspace Therapy provides one-to-one online counselling services for adults (18+) within the United Kingdom. Sessions are delivered remotely using Microsoft Teams or another secure online platform agreed in advance.

By accessing this website or engaging in counselling services with Greyspace Therapy, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

 

2. Scope of Services

 

Counselling services offered by Greyspace Therapy are intended to provide emotional and psychological support. Counselling is not a substitute for medical care, psychiatric treatment, or emergency services. 

  

Greyspace Therapy does not provide: 

  

  • Crisis or emergency support 
  • Medical diagnosis 
  • Prescribing of medication 

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services or a crisis support service.

 

3. Eligibility

 

Counselling services are available to adults aged 18 years or over. By booking an appointment, you confirm that you meet this requirement. 

Greyspace Therapy reserves the right to decline or discontinue services where counselling is not clinically appropriate or falls outside the therapist’s scope of practice. 

 

4. Appointments and Sessions

  

  • Counselling sessions last one hour (60 minutes) 
  • Sessions take place online via Microsoft Teams 
  • Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time 

If you arrive late, the session will still end at the agreed time to respect other appointments. 

  

It is your responsibility to: 

  

  • Ensure a reliable internet connection 
  • Use a private, quiet space suitable for counselling 

If technical difficulties occur, reasonable efforts will be made to continue the session. Time lost due to client-side technical issues may not be recoverable.

 

  5. Fees and Payment

 

  • Fees for counselling sessions are clearly displayed on the Greyspace Therapy website at the time of booking 
  • Payment is required in full at the time of booking and is made via the website 
  • Appointments cannot be booked or confirmed without payment 
  • All fees are payable in GBP 

Greyspace Therapy reserves the right to review fees with reasonable notice. Any changes to fees will not affect sessions that have already been booked and paid for.

 

6. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

 

To manage availability fairly: 

  

  • At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session 
  • Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full 
  • Missed appointments and late arrivals may be charged in full 

Exceptions may be made at the therapist’s discretion in exceptional circumstances.

 

7. Confidentiality

 

Confidentiality is a core part of the counselling relationship. 

  

Information shared during sessions will remain confidential except where disclosure is required by law or professional duty, including: 

  

  • Risk of serious harm to yourself or others 
  • Safeguarding concerns involving children or vulnerable adults 
  • Legal requirements or court orders

8. Client Responsibilities

 

By engaging in counselling, you agree to: 

  

  • Participate openly and respectfully in sessions 
  • Attend appointments on time 
  • Raise any concerns about the counselling process when possible   

Counselling is a collaborative process, and specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed. 

 

9. Website Use

The name Greyspace Therapy, along with associated logos, branding, written content, and website materials, are the intellectual property of Greyspace Therapy Ltd, unless otherwise stated. 

 

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any content, branding, or materials from this website for commercial purposes without prior written permission. 

 

Greyspace Therapy Ltd reserves all rights in its name, branding, and intellectual property. Unauthorised use may result in legal action. 

 

11. Limitation of Liability 

 

Greyspace Therapy is not liable for: 

  • Decisions or actions taken by clients outside sessions 
  • Indirect or consequential losses 
  • Technical issues beyond reasonable control 

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. 

  

12. Ending Therapy

 

Either you or Greyspace Therapy may end counselling at any time. Where possible, endings will be discussed openly and sensitively to support a safe conclusion to therapy. 

  

Greyspace Therapy may end services if: 

  

  • Appointments are repeatedly missed 
  • Fees remain unpaid 
  • Continued counselling is no longer appropriate 

13. Changes to These Terms

 

Greyspace Therapy may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most recent version will always be available on the website.
